My dad was in the Coast Guard, and my Grandfather was in the Army and fought during ww2 and i want to follow in their footsteps and join a branch of the military. I would hope that me joining the military would make both of them proud, and becoming an officer would exceed their expectations.

Ever since I was young I have been somewhat of a leader, and I want to put those skills in use. The kids in my neighborhood would always look up to me whether it be helping them with something, figuring out something to do, or settling their disputes. When I played baseball for the Frederick Rangers, our coach was very hard on us, and my teammates looked up to me to go and talk to him to work out a solution for him to be a little easier on us, so I did and I was named team captain.

This past year in High school I was voted one of two junior team captains of the indoor and outdoor track teams, and voted team captain for the cross country team. I want to challenge myself both physically and mentally.
